The 2013 4th July Limerick Festival will take place in Limerick on Saturday 6th July. Events will be announced in due course.

We would like to thank all the volunteers and supporters for their help realising the 4th July Limerick 2012  festival. It was the hard work, dedication and commitment of the people involved which led to the festival being such a huge success.

It took a huge amount of effort in an impossibly short time frame, (with zero budget!) to get such a wonderful idea to fruition for 2012. But thanks to the incredible generosity of many individuals and organizations we are very proud of the inaugural festival which took place in Limerick City over 5 days from 4th to 8th July 2012.

Siobhan’s vision is that Limerick becomes the site of the Largest 4th July Festival in the world, outside the US. This is a huge opportunity for Limerick to claim a unique Annual International Festival as its own!

For the 2012 festival, Limerick was decked out in Red White & Blue with the shops, pubs,offices and public buildings all getting involved in the celebrations.

Limerick 4th July Festival has been given the endorsement of the US Ambassador to
Ireland, Mr. Dan Rooney and his staff at the US Embassy. They are very excited about the
initiative. Indeed some of the senior staff were in Limerick right throughout the festival in 2012.

We have an incredibly exciting festival planned for 2013; one which we believe will be a key feature of the year of The Gathering.

As ever, we will be relying on the people of Limerick to make this festival a reality – we want to hear from you if you have any ideas or suggestions or if you are able to volunteer some time.
